I feel really strange today. Still very sore over the fact that i did not do well for yesterday phone interview with Goldm*aS**. It is a job that i really hope to get or rather it is the company that i really want to get in. Oh well nevermind. sure there will be others…

I will remember…

to place relationships above all other things

A friend told me a circumstances and it just got me thinking……

I fight for my career, earn lots of money to buy all that I want but did I forgot those whom i considered precious?

Did I took them for granted and think that they will always be around?

“I’ll be nice to them tomorrow” that is what i always tell myself but do my tomorrow comes?

Was I too caught up with life that those precious ones had moved on but I’m still left in the memories of the gathering 3 years ago?

Did i chose everything else except putting my love ones first?

Am i too selfish that I looked at my plight and forgot the pain my love ones?

30 years later, I’ll be done with career and youth fades away…. will my love ones and friends still be around me or will I be all alone in a big house?

All the above I am guilty of and I hope i can do better today..  cause 30 years later, I hope my dear ones will be around and we can laugh ourselves silly while we talk about our yesteryear.

It’s getting Mundane…

I met 2 ex colleagues today

Different season, different people come into my life and leave my life e.g changing job. It is always a pleasant encounter to bump into ex colleagues on the streets….

His name is WKW – On my way to work, I met an ex colleague from my 1st job. It years since i last saw him; their office is at harbourfront and for them work starts at 8.30am but at 8.45am he was still at dobby ghuat. hmmm so i thought nothing much had changed but am wrong. We had a quick chat and he updated me with some changes in the company. He is now a manager and the person who took over me is already a mother of 2 (when was preparing for marriage when she took over me). Where am I now? still the same old.. Something changed… I grew up.

His name is WB – After lunch, i pop by spinnelli to grab a coffee. While waiting for it, i met another ex colleague from my previous job. He is an English and was a Senior Manager of that firm. I was really surprise to see him as he is now working in HK.
I guess my appearance changed cause he wasn’t really sure if he knows me until I asked (i m not sure too. Last saw him is 3 yrs back).

He’s just not that into you…

I watched it weeks ago..  I really like this movie. It about encouraging women that we can be cool and move on if there is a need. We do not need to always anticipate or wait by the phone for a man whom we are interested in to call us. Cause if they are interested, they will. If they don’t then they are just not that into us.. It save us from alot of heartbreaks and disappointment. Sounds simple yet it is not that easy….

Next few blog will be on the book ‘He’s just not that into you’. Some interesting pointers for women to look out for.

Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire – The movie that won 8 oscar award

It is about a boy who grew up in slum and participate in ‘Who wants to be a millionaire;  by sheer luck and experiences in his early life he manage to answer the all the questions. Due to that, he was suspected for cheating. His life story unfold as he explained how he knew all the answers. The reason why he join the show is not because he is hard up for the money but knew that the woman he love will watch the show. That is so sweet

The scene that got me thinking -

After he lost his mother in a riot, he lived in a dump with his brother and a girl (the one he loved). One fine day a leader of a syndicate of beggars came and coax them to leave with him with a bottle of coke. They were taught to beg and a group of boys who are required to sing to him. The day came when he thinks that the one of the boy sang very well and is now able to earn more money for him. What he did? He BLINDED the kid with acid. OMG. This is the life of the kids in India?  What kind of life they have? Imagine this. Wake up the next day and you lost your vision forever.. Man that is scary. The emotion trauma the kids gotta face after being blinded or limbs being removed is….

After watching that show. I really think i have a very good life.
